Calculation of greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural production in Shandong Province

  • Greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural production account for a large proportion of total emissions.As a major agricultural province, it is of great significance to calculate greenhouse gas emissions of agricultural production in Shandong Province.Based on statistical data and previous research data, greenhouse gas emissions of growing industry and animal husbandry in Shandong Province were calculated.Results showed that total amount of CH4 emissions from agricultural production in Shandong Province in 2022 was 433126.44 t, with CH4 emissions from growing industry and animal husbandry were 22351.35 and 410775.09 t, respectively.Total amount of N2O emissions was 102204.47 t, in which N2O emissions from growing industry and animal husbandry were 58109.91 and 44094.56 t, respectively.It was suggested to reveal current situation and spatial difference characteristics of greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural production in Shandong Province and to provide theoretical support for achieving dual-carbon goals from perspective of agricultural emission reduction.
